From the 1st October the first instalment of the £400 Government handout is being paid. It is paid to your electricity supplier in monthly instalments of £67/66 for 6 months and your Direct Debit is reduced by the same amount.
This is most likely the reason that your DD is being reduced, the exact amount it's being reduced may also be affected by whether your account is in debit/credit and by how much.
Or you could try us - we don't bite and can advise in ways that often makes a visit to customers services unnecessary.

@Andy65 is absolutely right in explaining that your DD may have changed to factor in the EBSS discount 😊.. We also run a payment adequacy every 6 months and this can see your direct debit be raised, stay the same, or even decrease due to the amount of debt / credit your account it in.
