Good news from 'The North' as I received my statement today. Managed to 'gain' a rounding penny somewhere so feeling as rich as Croesus today.😋

One decent thing about Eon Next pulling Smart Meter reads on schedule is that the 'Provisional' gas reading appears to be a thing of the past. Probably only occurs with manual reads if my past experiences are anything to go by.

Do you still get the provisionals?

Never had a provisional as I don't have gas. Nor estimates as they get a manual reading in a timely fashion.

I send manual gas readings in and occasionally receive a "Provisional charge which needs to be reviewed" showing on my account. It doesn't happen every month though, which is a bit strange, but the bills are always correct. 😃

on the Martin Lewis show the other week he asked what was the smallest coin you would pick up if you dropped it. Various answers but one viewer calculated that picking up 1p took so many seconds and that equated to £10 per hour. So the correct answer for most of us was 1p.

I'm glad you actually got round to replacing it @meldrewreborn - whether its a penny, or a pound it all helps! (would rather it was pounds so I could invest in some deserved 🍫).
That's interesting about Provisional Charges - I like to think of it like a race...your PC is in 1st then the billing system is in 2nd 🐎
